NAGB Sets Committee and Quarterly Board Meetings for Fall 2026
Federal Register notice details access and registration for public meetings
The Education Department's National Assessment Governing Board (NAGB) has issued a Federal Register notice announcing the agenda, time, and access instructions for its standing committee meetings and quarterly Governing Board meeting. According to the notice, the meetings will be held either in person and/or virtually.
Members of the public who wish to attend—whether in person or virtually—or who wish to submit written comments related to the Board's work must register in advance. A registration link will be posted on the Governing Board's website, www.nagb.gov, no later than five business days before each meeting.
While this notice is procedural rather than programmatic, it offers contractors and stakeholders tracking federal education assessment policy an opportunity to observe Governing Board deliberations and submit input. Firms engaged with NAGB-related work or monitoring the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) program may wish to register early to ensure access to the proceedings.
