Booz Allen Hamilton Inc. has obligated more than $650 million in cumulative funding under a Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation (CDM) DEFEND bridge task order issued by the General Services Administration (GSA), records show, as the cybersecurity program continues to extend federal network defense capabilities across civilian agencies.

The task order, designated 47QFRA24F0006 and titled "CDM DEFEND Group BD Bridge Task Order," was signed April 19, 2024, and runs through April 30, 2027. According to USAspending.gov, total obligations have reached $650,264,359.75, with a combined base-and-options ceiling of roughly $1.12 billion. The award's obligation total has continued to climb through contract modifications, the most recent recorded July 6, 2026, reflecting the ongoing nature of the CDM DEFEND task order structure.

The task order was issued by GSA's Federal Acquisition Service (FAS) as a delivery order under the agency's underlying governmentwide acquisition contract 47QTCK18D0004, a multiple-award vehicle used to compete CDM DEFEND task orders. While GSA FAS serves as the awarding agency, USAspending.gov funding records identify the Department of Homeland Security's Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) as the funding agency behind the work.

CDM DEFEND — short for Dynamic and Evolving Federal Enterprise Network Defense — is a core component of CISA's broader Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation program, which provides civilian federal agencies with tools and services to identify cybersecurity risks, strengthen network visibility, and standardize threat response across the .gov enterprise. Task orders like this one are typically issued as "bridge" awards, extending existing service delivery while follow-on competitive actions are finalized.

The contract, classified under NAICS code 541512 (Computer Systems Design Services), was awarded following full and open competition with cost-plus-award-fee pricing terms, according to contract data on file with USAspending.gov. Booz Allen Hamilton is headquartered in McLean, Virginia.
